You Love Me

I don't have to cry for fear
That someday you won't be near
Now i've finally seen the light
You'll never leave me alone in the night
For you love me

From your looks and from our talks
I thought our love was on the rocks
Every day my fears would grow
Now [garbled] before i know
That you love me

b/w River Deep, Mountain High

(You remember the old Spector classic, doncha? The one that goes:)

When I was a little girl
I had a rag doll
Only doll I've ever owned
Now I love you just the way I loved that rag doll
But only now my love has grown

Cause it grows stronger, like a river flows
And it gets bigger baby, and heaven knows
And it gets sweeter baby, as it grows

And do I love you my oh my
Yeh river deep mountain high
If I lost you would I cry?
Oh how I love you baby, baby, baby, baby

"You Love Me" -- You Really, Really Love Me!

This just arrived today: an old 45 from the 60s by a group called 2 of Clubs. And that's today's math lesson.

(In case you didn't notice ... you're at a website called Deuce of Clubs. See, "Deuce" = 2. Damn straight, more math! Pay attention, willya?)

2 of Clubs consisted of Patti Valentine and Linda Parrish. Don't know how they came up with the name, but if anyone knows the answer -- or, in fact, knows anything about this group (or knows how to reach either group member), please contact us. They could help us with that garbled lyric we can't catch from "You Love Me." That's a definite need-to-know.

(If you have any items related to Deuce of Clubs, 2 of Clubs -- or other stuff we're looking for -- go ahead & send it on in! Nothing bad will happen, we promise -- and we always keep our promises!)
