I found this fortune cookie on the street before the parade & brought it back over to the car.
Here is what it said:
How true. The Caravan to Houston made the whole experience twice as much fun. The trip itself was great fun--and it's not usually fun to drive the breadth of the state of Texas (as I think I've made clear elsewhere)--but it was a strangely warm feeling to wander past the waiting parade cars and keep running into friends and acquaintances from the Caravan and associated activities.
