Twin Peaks: Behind the Scenes (1990)
by Mark Altman / Scott Knicklebine
I was thinking about Twin Peaks the other day, & dug up these two Peaks rip-off books. The Altman book is mostly padding but does include some apparently inside information. The Knicklebine book is just plain silly. The parts that aren't merely summaries read like this:
"This is the second episode directed by David Lynch, and his slow, mysterious directorial style drips down every scene like syrup off a stack of hotcakes."
As Pee-wee would say: "Drippy!"
The distribution of both of these books was squashed by Lynch/Frost productions, so these days they are routinely sold for many times their original cover prices.
