Note Baboquivari Peak, sacred to the Tohono O'odham (the desert people), who consider it to be the navel of the world. There is a story from a century or so ago that a desireable Tucson woman vowed to marry the first of her suitors to climb Baboquivari. The winner lit a signal fire that could be seen from Tucson. A marriage ensued. May be true. Maybe not.
