This is the Lavender Pit. It isn't lavender in color. It's named after a guy called Lavender.
According to an old Lou Minatti prank call tape, the pamphlet for the Bisbee Grand Hotel used to say that this was the largest hole ever dug by humans. I don't know whether that's true. It's really not that deep. |
