The Booth in
My Living Room

(The information on this page is all quite defunct now.)

At last ... my booth gets its own phone...

The booth in my living room now has its own working payphone. (I'd give you the number, but then the Feds would probably come and take my booth away, too.)

I'd been looking for a payphone for a long time, but they can be pretty pricey. Even at online auction sites they tended to go for over $200 and even then most of the time they didn't have the coinbox key.

One day I got an e-mail offering a working, pre-homewired payphone with coinbox key for only eighty-nine bucks.

Point of the story: you can get a working payphone, too. And if you buy it by clicking the banner below or the graphic at right, Deuce of Clubs gets a couple bucks to boot.

Except now the price has gone up. I don't know why. You could ask them. You could ask me. But I don't know. So it would be, y'know, pretty pointless.

And especially pointless now that the company seems to have disappeared without a word...
