We dug this guy mainly because of his Meistersinger beret, similar to the one favored by die Meister himself. Unfortunately, he was also dissimilar to Wagner, who was of course an artist.

I let him draw W anyway, mostly because of his incredulous tone when he asked, "You want me to draw the HOLE?!?"

The end product looks regrettably like Ludwig Van (except for the hole) and nothing like W.

His young partner, unsuccessful at scaring up his own customers, kept kibbitzing & being shooed away by his elder ("When you can snatch the posing fee from my hand, Wharf-Hopper, it will be time for you to go.")
