You may recall the earlier appearance of Oobi in these pages, wherein is described a failed attempt at Oobi procurement. A couple of weeks ago, I found another Oobi up for auction online. I made a note of the auction's ending time and taped it to my monitor. 1:48 p.m. -- I wasn't going to miss this. I looked up at the note at 1:50 p.m. -- I missed it. I wanted to see what the selling price turned out to be, and when I checked the page I saw that the buyer was none other than my friend, Ultima Thule. Not long after that, she e-mailed to ask my zip code.
