Hoodoo!
It's hoodoo city in the Chiricahua Mountains, stronghold of Cochise. (Hard to tell from the angle, but those hoodoos are probably a hundred feet high or so.) |

The Chiricahua is not a place you would have wanted to try to find Cochise -- or anybody else.
(By the way, Chiricahua is pronounced cheer-uh-KA-wah, not chee-ree-ca-HOO-uh.) |
